Der Aoos-Stausee nördlich von Metsovo in Ioannina in der Region Epirus im Nordwesten Griechenlands liegt auf einer Höhe von 1.300 m und wurde 1987 zur Produktion von Elektrizität angelegt, heute ist er ein wichtiges Biotop (Luftaufnahme). The artificial lake of Aoos is situated at an altitude of 1,300 m and was created in 1987 for the production of electricity, now it is an important biotope for the Epirus region in the northwest of Greece (aerial photography). Η τεχνητή λίμνη του Αώου, με έκταση 11,5 τ.χλμ. σε υψόμετρο 1.350 μέτρων, βρίσκεται στον Νομό Ιωαννίνων, στο οροπέδιο Πολιτσές, έχει 7 μικρά φράγματα, με το μεγαλύτερο να έχει ύψος 78 μ.
